Under contract to the National Park Service, we took customer-supplied graphics and produced this 30”-wide enhanced 3D map of the entire Lewis and Clark Trail, from Pittsburgh to the Pacific Ocean. The key purpose of this map is to model the trail for vision-impaired visitors. The trail itself is tactile, allowing the user to trace Lewis and Clark’s route across the hills, plains, and mountains of America. Supporting text is raised and braille is included to enhance its interpretative value. These maps are used in Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail visitor centers across the country.
